Zambian artist Mwamba Mulangala is currently among the most prominent artists of his generation. He is also one of the most prolific at the most promising stage of his career. He has worked his way through apprenticeships, workshops, international solo and group exhibitions, residencies, biennales and international publications. Holder of a Master’s Degree in Fine Art, he is one of the few artists that maintains a steady gallery presence while also working as a visual arts educator. Predominantly a painter, working in acrylics on a variety of supports, he also tries his hand at installation pieces and performance. Always adopting a subjective lens, his figurative works often explore various aspects of society as he experiences them.
